Unofficial Election Results: Fire Chief Jack Parow Received Highest Number of Votes for 2nd VP

(See IAFC Announcement)

THANK YOU!!

Chief Jack Parow 2nd VP Elect IAFC 2008

2

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that voted in the 2nd Vice President’s election this year and a special thanks to those who checked my name off on the ballot. There were 3117 votes cast, setting a record number of votes being cast since we went to the electronic ballot option.  Congratulations. During the campaign Chief Blackwell and I got to know each other very well and I thank him for his friendship and interest in serving the IAFC.
I am very excited about the opportunity that I have been given to serve you as part of the IAFC Leadership Team.  Since February I have been participating in Board meetings and conference calls. I will continue this practice through FRI so that I will be well informed and ready to serve you as soon as I am sworn in as 2nd Vice President.
We ran a campaign saying how important it is that the IAFC become the “go to” organization of the fire service and that we become a more membership driven organization. I truly believe this and will be reaching out and listening to the Divisions, Sections and Committees as well as local Fire Chief Associations.  If you have issues or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.  We must always keep in mind that an organization is only as strong as its membership. I urge you to become involved, stay active and recruit a new member. Together we will make the IAFC and the Fire Service stronger, safer and a more valuable resource for us all.

Thanks Again,
Jack
